"Innocence" represents theinsensitivity that children are forced to develop in relation to their environment.Issues such as sexuality, violence, indifference, even ecological negligence, are in a negatively part oftheir lives, slowly consuming them.

The early loss of innocence is what inspires this work, which shows a girl neatly dressed inprinted roses with several hostile scenarios behind her. These scenarios representdifferent issues she has ignored due to the indifference and insensitivity the massmedia, education and society have created towards her.

The gas mask represents the intentionof protecting against the “pollution”, however, it’s not intended to be (forus, viewers) the symbol for isolation or indifference towards social problems, but awarning: Danger is everywhere, if we don’t raise our children properly to counterthe effects of insensitivity, they won’t be able to “remove the mask” andbreathe, be free ... be innocent.
