This project is concerned with ‘Shidu’ families, which is a special social vulnerable group in China as a result of the one-child policy. ‘Shidu’ is a phenomenon denoting the loss of a parent's only child. In a society where parents rely on their children for looking after them in old age, this phenomenon has devastating effect to many ‘Shidu’ parents. I explored this social issue from the perspective of a designer and presented it by visual language, in order to enhance public’s understanding towards this marginalized group and even arouse people’s thought and concern about them. All the content of design works like text and photos are based on the real data from fieldwork and other relevant research activities.
此項目是從平面設計師的角度去探索“失獨者”這一被忽視的社會問題。希望這些根據真實走訪“失獨者”家庭收集的故事與拍攝的圖片所完成的平面作品，除了能真實紀錄這一社會問題，也能讓引起社會大眾對這一弱勢群體更多的關愛。
