My collection was originally inspired by the lifestyle of a vagrant or traveler. Without a regular place to call home, they must be able to carry or wear all their possessions. This lifestyle creates an original, eclectic look. The vagrant pays no attention to matching looks they simply collect pieces they like and meld them together. Historically these people settled for short periods of time on the outskirts of the cities and were said to dabble in witchcraft, casting spells on those who wouldn’t generously give to them. Vagrants were often musicians, dancers, and entertainers in order to distract or con you into giving them what they wanted. This collection specifically is centered around a fictional story of a vagabond serial killer who travels to small towns posing as a farm hand and murders the families that hire him. He then chops up their bodies and feeds them to the pigs on these farms. He wears the middle class garments of the families he murders and blends them with the strange, geometric clothing he hides behind as he travels. His garments reference aprons, meat hooks, and . Being a Fall/Winter Activewear collection, there are many outerwear pieces in high quality, warmer fabrics layered with shorts and sleveless pieces.
My target consumer is a male between the ages of 18 - 35. He likes bold prints but brings them down with achromatic pieces, mostly in black. He’s not afraid to wear hats and possibly scare small children by the way he dresses. This same consumer most probably wears brands such as Dior Homme, Band of Outsiders, and Adidas’ Y-3 line. He wants to look put together but at the same time casual so he’s willing to buy a higher price point for higher quality clothing. His closet is young and fresh but still values classic styles and basic essentials.
