LOOPHOLES is an interactive game experience to learn more about the gaps in America’s background check system for purchasing guns. The game presents a simple profile for a potential gun buyer, including information that would be used for a real background check such as criminal and mental health history. Based on the given information, the user will have to decide whether or not that person can legally own a gun by U.S. regulations. Based on the experience, the user will be more well informed about the gaps in the background check system, and that may influence them to feel differently about their stance on gun control and universal background checks. I hope that this project will start more conversations about gun control and we can stand together to make America safe again.
