Iggy Pop at the Grammys
We had a great assignment. Our professor, Steven Tabbutt, was hired to do a page in the Grammy Playbill of Justin Timberlake. Our assignment was to choose a Grammy nominee and do a portrait of that person with a concept to it. I chose Iggy Pop and decided that his body was so recognizable that I could paint his portrait without showing his face. I included "tattoos" of the names of the songs from his album Post Pop Depression that had been nominated. It was an extra bonus that as I painted I listened to a ton of Iggy Pop! This project is painted in Acrylic paint.
