Første Steg (First Step) is a professional and a political journal consisting of academic articles and debates with focus on kindergarden and upbringing. The target group is primarily kindergarden teachers and managers, but also teachers, students and others involved with childcare.

Tank have redesigned the journal and focused on reflecting its personality and content using a dynamic layout, a vivid palette and playful illustrations. The choice of typography range from geometric and serious to naive and charming.
