Inner Landscape
Homage to Gerhardt Richter.
This smaller painting took me back to abstraction. It was after watching a documentary about German painter Gerhardt Richter that the idea awoke to apply some of his methods to my own creative activity.
I was extremely pleased to see that an immense painter like Richter uses pretty similar technical proceedings while painting in a very intuitive manner, just as I try to myself. It sounded like a distant justification of my own creative processes. Of course, I have neither the academic education nor the lifelong experience of Richter, but on the other hand that makes me free of any limitations and full of hope for future evolution.
