Washington Post Live event branding

This logo was created for our Washington Post Live Transformers series. The events feature interviews with various policy experts in many diverse fields. I kept the typography simple as it is used over different backgrounds depending on the topic of the event.  
I was asked to update the logo for the Washington Post Live series, A New Line, which features our fashion columnist Robin Givhan interviewing leading designers and experts in the industry. This image was inspired by fashion magazines and uses a background with designer's patterns.
