The theme of my bachelor thesis was a packaging and corporate design for our own family vinery.
The inspiration came from the name of the vinery; „nectar”, as well as from basalt organs.
Let me elaborate.
The quality of the wine basically depends on the soil. Tokaj is the most famous wine-district in Hungary, because it is located on more than four hundred volcanic cones. The most spectacular form of the volcanic rocks is the basalt organ.
This geological formation is a hexagonal prism, just like the bee hives which leads us back to the nectar.
Therefore, it was only natural that hexagonal shape became the cornerstone of my design.
