Quantum. Light of Blue

"Quantum. Light of blue" is a Personal Project made for Digital Art Award 2017 organized by CGTrader
I was invited to participate in a CG event and seized the opportunity to create something interesting for it.
I am excited to share with you a project I have been working on: an imaginary world called "Quantum. Light of Blue". Quantum is a fragment of a larger planet that has managed to survive for millions of years, thanks to its unique composition of rocks, core crystals, ice, and dust. The planet has a circular moon that I am currently exploring from different angles. I am focusing on one specific location on Quantum for now, but I have plans to delve deeper and discover more of this mysterious world. With the renders I have created, I hope to give you a glimpse into the stunning landscapes and captivating stories that Quantum has to offer. I would love to send you on a virtual visit to Quantum and hear your thoughts after your visit. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about my project. I hope you enjoy exploring Quantum as much as I have.
Modeling, Shading, and Lightning
For the modeling and shading, I used a combination of procedural techniques and traditional mesh modeling to achieve an organic effect. I also experimented with Micro-displacement, a powerful feature in Blender, but ultimately decided to use real mesh modeling for most of the terrains for greater control over the concept. The lighting setup was challenging due to the large size and dimensions of the scene, but I spent time exploring different moods to get the desired feel. In the end, everything came together perfectly.
Here are some additional shots from different angles of the process.
These shots show the exploration and search for the right inner feeling.

Thank you for your time and appreciation!
