"KIIRO" (it means yellow is Japanese and stereotypically asian are always classified as yellow skin in media) this bi-annual magazine documents western born asian pro's and con's of being born in conflicting environments, how their culture influences them and talk about if they had any struggles growing up if your family didn't want you to take a creative subject because to them it was deemed as "just a hobby" or "not money making" along with other stereotyping issues that we struggle with such as what food we eat and the language we speak.

The magazine will contain photography showing the true nature of what East Asia looks like with phrases asians have heard constantly along with interviews from Ruth Tam a writer from 'The Washington Post' and young individuals in the creative industry.
