This rug was created for the Fashion Institute of Technology's NYTM Crafting Change Exhibition. It is composed of fabrics that had previously been scraps, too small to use or stained with screen-printing ink. Instead of focusing on the face of the fabrics, this rug’s pattern is created from the ends of each fabric roll. With this technique, the pattern is reminiscent of a traditional Persian rug, creating a middle ground between old and new.
