TASK
Design a range of tea packaging that speaks clearly to a cultural and fashion style. Layout the packaging on the computer, and construct functional 3-dimensional paper models for photographic purposes.

SOLUTION:

For me the whole concept of the tea packaging is about the feeling and atmosphere. I want to create a tea packaging for people needing a break in their busy daily life or just for the dreamers who wants to escape the moment.
Rituals are routines that we make important. They slow us down and connect us to the presence, to ourselves.

The shape I chose for the packaging is a rectangle box shape for its traditional look, but the square shape is also symbolising balance, grounding and foundation.
My brand is named Glimt, the Norwegian word for glimpse. My whole concepts are about disappearing form your own reality for a moment and get a glimpse on another place and another time. To symbolise this I use an eye as my logo.
My goal is to create a product focusing on harmony and a natural feeling, but at the same time awake curiosity.

Welcome to a world created for your senses. Escape the place and time, and disappear into the hidden stories of Bopser Teehause. This little box is filled with magic, but it needs your imagination to work. Gently open the box, let the smell satisfy your nose, the taste comfort your mouth and the stories fill your heart.
Tea it not just a drink it’s an art, it’s meditation and healing. At Old Shanghai Teahouse, you can find a lot of interesting people. You get to know them by coming here every day and watching them. The old man sitting in the corner has been coming here every day for the last nine years. Even the day his wife passed away he was sitting by his table 7 o’clock in the morning doing his normal ritual. Old Shanghai Teahouse is important for many, at the same time it would be nothing without the people.
