We believe that knowledge comes not only from theory. Experimenting has always allowed us to discover things, corroborate, make mistakes and improve.
That is why when we plan a workshop it seems essential to conclude with the assembly of a physical structure; and if it is in a 1:1 scale, much better.
On this occasion, the available resources were corrugated cardboard sheets of 4mm and a CNC machine that works with three tools: 1 blade, a wheel that allows the folding of the material and a marker that helped us to code the pieces.
Turtle Pavilion in numbers:
- 95 different pieces completely planarized.                 - 15 corrugated cardboard sheets of 4mm.
- 500 wooden dowels used to position each piece.      - 5 rolls of transparent packing tape.          - 4hs of assembly.
