“The Drowning Girls” theater poster was composed based on a play performed locally in Milwaukee, WI. The play is the story of three women who are desperate for love and, against their better judgement, fall for a man that drowns all three of them for their inheritance. I photographed all images and in so, designed the hands to be opposing each other, with one reaching for the ring and the other being the man’s hand. The biggest challenge was to depict the story while remaining true to the message while not being too graphic in the imagery.
