Overview
Instaroid is an instant photo printer service for events and venues designed to multiply social media reach. The Instaroid team approached Gridhaus to revamp their website with a fresh online image to better engage potential clients.



The Challenge
How do you stand out amongst the noise of other instant photo printing booth services? How can you attract end-users, businesses, and franchisees at the same time?

The Outcome
A new website, user experience, and service positioning that exemplifies Instaroid’s user-centric services and value for businesses.

User Needs
We identified three key users we needed to target—B2B companies, business owners, and end-consumers. These three key groups can be found across 5 service categories—brands, agencies, events, venues, and weddings. We surfaced their needs to understand what content would be the most effective way to reach and relate to them. While the product is a photo printer, we had to communicate clearly that it is a service provided which is able to meet all their needs and help achieve their social marketing goals.






Brand Definition
Through explorations with the Instaroid team, we identified their brand statement that becomes the filter for all the decisions made for the website. Together we established that the emphasis should be placed on Instaroid’s aim to empower businesses with the means to create engaging experiences with and for their audiences. It is about creating memories both online and offline.






User Experience
Based on the user personas, we created a sitemap and user journey map. The site content was then organized and prioritized around key user behaviors.






Touch Points
Since Instaroid’s aim is to create engagement between people it is essential that Instaroid is a brand that engages with people itself. Our solution to this was creating an interactive homepage that communicates Instaroid’s value in four simple steps—creating a memorable and clear experience for viewers. We wrote the homepage messaging to resonate with all the target users.






Results
Since the website redesign by Gridhaus was launched, Instaroid saw an increase in the number of contact form submissions from approximately ~40 in the previous year to over 2000 submissions the following year—helping the Instaroid team garner an exponential amount of potential sales leads.
