[EN] 50th Brazilian Film Festival of Brasilia
The Brasilia Festival of Brazilian Cinema, held by the Secretary of Culture of the Federal District, one of the most traditional audiovisual events in the country, reaches its 50th edition. Its historical dimension is confused with the trajectory of contemporary Brazilian cinema, because it is the first national film festival, a fundamental landmark for our production. Having as a great characteristic the massive participation of the public, the Brasilia Festival has already faced challenges, which include censorship, political and economic crises. It was even suspended during the dictatorship, specifically between 1972 and 1974. But it resisted with the strength and inventiveness of its interlocutors and completes 50 editions recognized as a catalyzing event of ideas and irradiating the new tendencies of Brazilian cinema.
Awards - Special Poster for the 50th edition of the Festival
The 50th edition of the Brasilia Festival of Brazilian Cinema selected a Brazilian artist to design the commemorative poster of the event. The special action marks the half century of existence of the festival that became reference to the regional cinema. The poster had 100 reproductions in fine art. The criteria for defining the winner were the aesthetic aspects, technical quality, concept and originality - important to remember that different techniques or languages can be selected.
