A collaboration with the boisterous media moguls made up of fisherman and surfers known as the Mad Hueys. The theme of this illustration was presented to me by the Mad Hueys Marketing team, with a rough sketch of an appropriated Powell Peralta ripper leaping out of a porthole. The illustration was referenced from Vernon Courtlandt Johnson’s original work, this time the skeleton grips a beer can and wears a pirate hat bearing the Mad Hueys trademark “ahoy fuckers”.
The final work was used on a collaborative jacket between the Mad Hueys and 3CS along with a capsule collection of Mad Hueys soft goods.
