These images were commissioned at various times to illustrate stories for Scientific American and Scientific American Mind Magazines. The one theme that connects these pieces is this idea of transformation... combining the human form with objects to tell a story. It is one of my favorite ways to illustrate an idea... combining the natural and the unnatural.
