Like most of the places; the small village of Dhading, named Jyamrung, also suffered major devastation after the earthquake. Looking back, It may feel like the earthquake happened years ago but the truth is, it's just been 3 years. And the cracks that it left on the infrastructure and in the people still remains.

Buildup Nepal is one of the organizations, who has been working hard to help people rebuild their broken homes themselves. And I got to photo-document their amazing work in Dhading, Gorkha, Sindhupalchowk, and Rasuwa. 

Buildup Nepal trains the locals to build with CSEB (Compressed Earth bricks) which is a cost-effective way to build houses faster.

And slowly, the locals are learning to be self-sufficient and be able to build their broken homes themselves. I feel grateful to be able to document their amazing journey.
