This piece is based on the Grimm fairy tale "All Kinds of Fur". The story has a lot of wonderful and intriguing visual elements, but the trials the character faced seemed of far greater importance. This particular illustration depicts the moment she finds shelter after running from her only home; escaping her father who wished to marry her due to her beauty.
