Come October and social media feeds everywhere buzz with the frenzy of a million artists heeding the call of Inktober. This year, I decided to go on a theme of my own and drew lovely, rotund, graceful and silly horses for 31 days.
Horses were one of the first things I really learned how to draw. I have papers and school textbooks filled with all kinds of equine specimens. Over time, my horse-craze faded to a passing interest. Challenges like Inktober, help artists reconnect with traditional media. For me, it helped reignite my love for horses.
