MezzoPieno: Logo and branding

MezzoPieno
Logo and Branding
2017

MezzoPieno is a new beershop in Crespellano. The look they were searching for is professional, sophisticated and cheerful at the same time. I designed the logo, visual identity and the intern decorations. I’ve been part of the project since the beginning so I had the chance to actively contribute to the look of the place, from the walls’ colours, to the materials and storage solutions. I’ve been asked to draw an Art Nouveau lettering for the logo, so I took inspiration from Rennie Mackintosh’s work and designed a solid but original type. To make it look less serious and more modern I used the O counter to create a funny face, made with shapes that reminds of some beer in a glass (indeed the name “Mezzo Pieno” means half full). That O itself became the icon and mascot of the shop, it is a very important part of the visual identity for social networks, merchandising and in store applications. The main in store decoration for both the window and wall is a kind of skyline made with bottles silhouettes: the same elements were used for graphics for web and print contents.
