Branding

In 1893, the Santa Fe Railway’s La Grande Station opened its doors welcoming travelers to a city of opportunity and innovation. On the grounds of the original La Grande Station, Westbound serves cross-cultured craft cocktails and seasonal small bites in an environment inspired by luxury railcars.

Westbound was looking for a romantic brand that was beautifully historic. This resulted in an art-deco wordmark and monogram that are inspired by typography and design elements from the 1920s. We injected rich colors, gold foiling, and travel stamp details that purposefully elevate the mood of the place. The final brand is a modern nod that takes you back to this bygone era.
