For years, Schwinn was known as a the best of the American bicycles. With the popularization of European and Japanese style in the 60s, 70s, and 80s, Schwinn lost it's way. Plagued by a perception of poor quality, Schwinn must begin reshaping its own image to become a successful company and regain its place in the mind of the consumer as the quality American bicycle.
