WunderKammer (Small Publication)

As part of a project at university we had to create a small publication based around the theme of lost and found.

I chose to study and narrow my theme even more to that of the wunderkammer (cabinet of curiosity). Originally these were rooms where people would collect artifacts (natural and manmade) from around the world and store in a room. I chose to make the cabinet more literal, and turn the publication into a small interactive cupboard where once opened you could see all of the artifacts the person had collected.

To represent the idea of lost and found even more I decided to include old illustrations such as one of the moths, the teapot and raven to have a personal connection of finding old work and reusing it.

The use of clocks was also very significant to me as it represents the time spent collecting these items, and the contradiction of the other opening sides far page representing death was to show that this was done for the persons entire life.
