Produced in relation to moments captured, shared, explored and experienced within the Bodmann family genealogy, the book celebrates and contextualises author’s self discovery through her grandparents’ photography, words of wisdom and stories passed on from generations. Unfolding into the three subjects;
the book showcases the author’s personality and own personal development through family histories and revised moments, the story concludes with three life lessons learned, drawing the book to a close with three of her own memoirs.
The design plays off two different timelines; the look of the past and the view of the present. The historical look and feel is communicated through the photography sourced from an outdated slide collection and remembered words while the book itself is presented with visual graphic design elements that reflect the author’s own individuality.
