Typographically represent Shakespeare
The challenge was to typographically represent Shakespeare within context. Shakespeare's work transcended emotion, feeling, beauty and pain. I wanted to convey the same message through my concept. Do we want to just read something or do we want to feel what is spoken? So the idea was to physically feel and imagine the words of Shakespeare. Using Braille enabled me to get across the message of feeling, emotion and pain in a beautifully simple design. The sonnet I chose to illustrate describes exhaustion of the body but when the body is put to rest the mind takes over in a journey begins, far beyond the reaches of the body:
