Já faz uns dois anos que eu crio um calendário a cada ano, tanto como uma forma de melhorar minhas habilidades como designer quanto para ter algo feito por mim mesma. E é sempre um processo divertido e interessante.

For a few years now, I've been creating a new calendar every year, as a form to both improve my design skills and have something made by myself. It's always a fun and interesting process to go through.

Para o calendário do ano que vem, eu queria algo mais significativo e que tivesse alguma conexão com a sociedade e com os meus ideais. E como o feminismo tem sido uma parte importante da minha vida nos últimos anos, foi natural escolher um conceito relacionado a ele.
Então eu passei alguns dias pesquisando e tentando encontrar um jeito de fazer deste projeto uma homenagem a uns mulherões da p#rra, ao mesmo tempo em que fosse algo que nos inspirasse - não só às mulheres, é claro - a fazer coisas incríveis em 2018.
Espero que o objetivo tenha sido alcançado.

For next year's calendar, I wanted to make something more meaningful and connected to society and my ideals, and as feminism has always been an important part of my life for the past years, it was natural to chose somthing related to it.
Then I spent a few days doing some research and trying to find a way to turn this as a tribute to some pretty badass women whilst being also something to inspire us all - not only women, of course - to do great things in 2018.
I hope I got to achieve the goal.

12 Novos é um projeto que criei uns dois anos atrás para me fazer completar as coisas na minha lista de metas - que eu costumava largar pela metade sempre. Então eu basicamente escolhi algumas coisas que queria fazer todo mês e, assim, teria ao menos 12 novas experiência de cada categoria ao fim do ano.
E o legal é que não importa se estamos falando de ler um livro ou largar o emprego: só de se dar a chance de fazer coisas e ver que você as concluiu no fim do período de doze meses já vai te dar uma sensação de conquista incrível.

"12 New" is a project I created a couple of years ago to bring me to really do the things on my list of goals, which, before, I used to quit halfway to the end. So I basically picked a few things I wanted to do every month, so I'd have at least 12 new experiences of each category by the end of the year.
When I finished the list, I had this wonderful feeling by seeing how much I had done, and how I went out of my comfort zone, so I decided to keep it going and turn it into a tradition. And the cool thing is that it doesn't matter whether we're talking about a book or quitting a job; just giving yourself a chance to do things and seeing that you actually achieving goals by the end of the year will give you an amazing feeling.
