A client requested a book cover for his nonfiction short story about the last months spent with his best friend dying of AIDS. The title refers to his friends love for fine-dining and pristine table-settings. So, even on his death bed he requested a cloth napkin with his food because it reminded him of less sick times. The flowers represent his love for Spring bloom. With photoshop, I composited the image so it can be seen as a bouquet of flowers which conveys "celebration of life."
