Memories of a travel through the lands between Tuscany and Lazio.

Civita di Bagnoregio - also known as "The Dying Town", is noted for its striking position atop a plateau of friable volcanic tuff overlooking the Tevere River. The only way to access this town is via footbridge.  Civita is a source of inspiration for a lot of people and artists around the world like the Japanese cartoonist Rupert Sansei, the anime designer of Lupin.

In this trip we have dedicated a day to observe and appreciate this amazing town discovering that, three times at day, it completely changes the "skin" tones; At the sunrise it paint it self with awesome pink tones, at the sunset with golden stripes and by night with blue that comes and create a fairy ambient. Simply sublime.

Some photographs showing the local fauna, taken during the travel between Bomarzo and Saturnia.

Finally we arrived at "Terme di Saturnia". The colors show how is the end of the day. In this location there are a lot of natural springs water with a temperature of 37-38°C. Many tourists come here for their therapeutic properties, offering relaxation and well being through immersion.

We have taken for us the rest of the day, appreciating the place before travel to Val d'Orcia.

Val d'Orcia is a region of Tuscany, which extends from the hills south of Siena to monte Amiata. The Valley is an important natural, artistic and cultural park.

In 2004 it has been recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO for its excellent landscape's conservation state. Val d'Orcia had a remarkable influence on many Renaissance artists and today continues to be a source of inspiration for a lot of photographers. We have the lucky to be one of them.

Hope you enjoyed the travel.
