We were assigned to be in charge of branding and design consultation for Aqua sports & spa, a members-only sports club which opened in June 2016 after renovation.

Aqua sports & spa is a members-only sports club located in the serene district of Setagaya. To support the active lifestyle of members and their families, the club provides various activities including fitness, recreation, business and relaxation.
As their facility was going under renovation, the brand took an identity revamp, which included renaming, redesigning the logo and visual identity, and artless Inc. was engaged to take part in branding and design consultation.

Our responsibilities widely spanned from designing the logo, stationeries, ephemerals, collaterals such as amenities and giveaway items, website, wayfinding signs and sound design that speaks of the brand at the entrance lobby. We also gave consultation for staff uniforms and shoe designs. Visitors are able to discover our design ideas in every detail across the facility, such as parking lots, gym mattress and instruction manuals for massage chairs.

Inspired from their name ‘Aqua’, the brand colour palette is set as white and blue. The tagline ‘Hydrate your life’ and our minimal, sophisticated design are a display of the brand’s message for the club members.
What we aimed to achieve with the project is to create a balance of sophistication and minimalism, with a belief that it would appeal to a wide range of audience.
