Architecture Conference Poster

This poster was created for a speech by renowned modernist architect Valerio Olgiati at The Berlage Center in Delft, Netherlands.  Over the course of researching this project I, along with others in the class, discovered that Olgiati is overrated as an architect and a pretentious person. Olgiati's buildings reflect a rejection of the architecture of his, more renowned, father Rudolf Olgiati.

Based on these conclusions, my poster is built on the insite that everyones favorite sound is that of their own name. This poster denies Valerio Olgiati the gratification of reading his name on the poster for his event. The text on the poster is derived from the, significantly longer, Wikipedia page of his father. The words of each line each start with the same letter, this creates an acrostic "poem" of the
subject's name.

The event information is integrated inconspicuously into the Arial type. This typeface creates a generic and "undesigned" appearance on a dark gray background.
This reflects the generic "white box" look of Olgiati's Modernist Architecture.
