Snarky Enamel Pins | Typographical Project

This project that began in early November was based around the idea of creating a collection of enamel pins that project a snarky-like attitude towards the viewer, in a bid to point out some humorously negative trait or thought of the person who is in fact wearing the pin itself.

As you will see in the final outcomes, each pin has been given its own font, colour palette and particular style of layout that I feel reflects the intended message within the pin as best as possible. This also includes a collection of textures and effects that combine effectively to imitate the look of genuine enamel coating, as opposed to a more simple flat design that I had originally anticipated during the concept development stage.

For the display mockup, I decided to go with placing the final outcomes on top of a slightly faded white denim fabric, alongside a dark vignette to help create a more moody environment in relation to the nature of the less-upbeat messages coming from the pins.
