Haus Rauch, autrement appelee Rauch family
Martin Rauch, situee a Schlins.

The earliest project was less architectural and more of a interior design one: reproducing a chair. Once again the choice of subject was completely open.
This chair was designed by the danish house Overgaard & Dyrman. I specifically chose it as my subject because I found it quite complex to model, while presenting a variety in its use of materials.
The challenge resided for me in the curvatures, both of the seat and of its underlying structure. Which ever the angle one choose to view it, the chair seems to adapt and reinvent its formal qualities. The metal structure supporting the seat can be seen as straight sections, or highly curved. The amount of detail in the seat itself, and how it is attached to the structure was also an interesting exploration.
