Design for social media: Good Wife My Ass

B R I E F 
According to the brief a topic that one is passionate about that relates to some aspects of popular culture or design must be selected in order to create a social media campaign.  I feel strongly about the fact that women should not be submissive to their husbands or any man. 


S T R A T E G Y
The target audience for this project is women between the ages of twenty and thirty which is regarded as a crucial time when choosing a life partner. The goal is to empower and remind women that they should not be submissive damsels in distress. Women are strong and independent. 


C O N C E P T
As such, social media platforms are used to motivate and encourage women in a playful and humorist manner, whilst carrying a serious message, to fully express their femininity in all spheres of the world we live in.

E X E C U T I O N
Humorist collages of women in the 50s were created, to indicate stereotypical submissiveness. It feels that their only goal were to raise children, clean the house and follow their husband’s orders. Some women today still choose to be submissive. In modern relationships men can assist with daily chores such as cooking and cleaning. Men and women must be seen as equal and function as a team when they are in a relationship or marriage. The name “Good Wife My ASS” was selected, as it fits well with the rebel tone of voice throughout the project.
