These TOMS were hand painted with acrylics and took around 16 hours.
They feature unique flora and fauna, native to New Zealand.
The bird on the right shoe is a tui, a beautiful songbird with iridescent feathers and a unique tuft of white feathers under its chin. The bird on the left is pīwakawaka, the fantail, the friendliest little bird in the forest. The pink flowers are Manuka (which makes great honey), Kōwhai (the Māori name for yellow, flowers in spring) and Pohutukawa (which flowers in summer time and is also known as the New Zealand Christmas Tree).

In 2006, American traveler Blake Mycoskie befriended children in Argentina and found they had no shoes to protect their feet. Wanting to help, he created TOMS Shoes, a company that would match every pair of shoes purchased with a pair of new shoes given to a child in need. One for One. Blake returned to Argentina with a group of family, friends and staff later that year with 10,000 pairs of shoes made possible by TOMS customers.

Sustainable Coastlines is a young New Zealand charity run by four hard-working full time staff and a network of passionate volunteers. We love our coasts and we work with our sleeves rolled up to keep them beautiful. We coordinate and support large-scale coastal clean-up events, educational programs, public awareness campaigns, riparian planting activities and other projects aimed at protecting and sustaining our coastlines.
