Peak Scientific Showcase

Peak scientific gave a presentation at the University of Strathclyde and highlighted some design systems they were using,

The issues they had were difficulties cooling their machines, and keeping the sound from the compressors down.

I knocked up a very rushed design package to demonstrate some alternative methods of using gas seperation machines, storing them, making them quieter and creating breathable cases which acount for fluid dynamics.

I used technology I had seen on the Trident submarine to silence compressors and applied it to the subframe,
Using a tubular open ended design, a fan or impellor at one end draws the air through the tunnel creating more efficient airflow and removal of hot air, outer case is raised buy a tubular surround which creates a greater surface area of contact with ambient air, trapping less heat.
Fan or Impeller
Larger free standing machines have vents at the base, and an extraction exhaust outlet at the top, a fan/impeller located outside the building would draw air through the machine rapidly removing hot air, cooling the machines
