The engine has decent depth sorting and a level builder, a recursive algorithm works out which walls are connected and does a wall cutout based on player position. Pixel art in the isometric engine is my own (apart from the background image, credit: eboy.com - their awesome pixel art inspired this experiment). Also doubles as my portfolio page!
