Pendant lights are like pieces of jewelry; they are defined by select details and simple components. But unlike a necklace or earring, the primary experience of them is from the underside. For this pendant design, I wanted to play on the intimacy of that unique vantage point. So I designed an object with a surprise element hidden in the interior. These lights are illuminated by custom LED's created by Cerno, an industrial design and manufacturing company innovating modern LED lighting in Southern California.
