The Adventure Zone title animation (WIP)

THIS IS A WORK IN PROGRESS

I've been listening to the incredible podcast, The Adventure Zone, a dnd podcast by the McElroy Brothers and wanted to create a title sequence in order to practice 3d character modeling, rigging, and animating.

Here are the preliminary character designs and expression sheets that I made. I'm moderately happy with them as my first expression sheets ever, i think they are a bit rough but I can continue to practice and refine

I appear to have lost the original concept for Taako, but a little lower down is his turnaround which is more representative of his final design anyways.
Below are a few screenshot of my process modeling Taako the Wizard, this was my first real go at modeling a character that i made and even though I'm not very far into this project by any means, I've learned a lot already, primarily, that i need to make much more detailed character turn arounds, which i will be doing for all the subsequent charater models.
This is where i started to realize that my turnaround wasn't as precise as I needed it to be, so i deviated form the turnaround to make a more appealing face, which I proceeded to tweak quite a lot as I worked on him.
Here, I realized that the proportions of Taako's body were very off at this point, so i spent a while adjusting him to look much better.
Much better proportions now, and I added lots more detail to his model.
Once I've finished modeling the inside of his mouth I'll begin rigging him and then texture him, and then I'll start working on the other character, but I've had recent issues where something has gone wrong with the file and I can't edit anything without Maya crashing, so we'll see how it goes.
