Nowadays laser cutting and engraving technologies aren't something new, but these technologies still have many abilities in creating art products. Usually, many companies use laser cutting & engraving for creating original souvenir and personalized products. But these technologies are also good to create special designs, unusual decor elements or interior design elements, creative goods, souvenirs and gifts, etc. The products are 75% handmade because of drawing work by artist or designer, grinding (wood), painting and assembling (multi details). Laser able to cut and engrave only 2D vector images, but any product can be made with assembling from multi details like the casket you can see in this project. All products firstly came from idea, drawn by an artist, and for the products in this project — that artist is me :)
Take a look at some of wooden products I worked with:
Wooden table clock. At first the sketch for this product was executed in curves (file prepared to laser in CorelDraw). Then the file was sent to a laser machine where the vector illustration was engraved (owl, dial, text). Then cutted with laser along the contour. The stand for the tree clock cutted out separately, then the tree putted into it with a glue.
