From the history

The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) was formed on 1 January 1992, by a decree issued by the late Sheikh Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum to take over and merge the Dubai Electricity Company and the Dubai Water Department that had been operating independently for several years until then. Both these organizations were established in 1959 through the foresight and initiative of His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, the late Ruler of Dubai, as government-supported bodies with the objective of making available to the people of Dubai an adequate and reliable supply of electricity and water.

Understanding DEWA Logo

The circle, an ancient and universal symbol of unity and wholeness and always represented the earth and the life of all forms. DEWA’s new logo with its three circles reflects the various energy levels within the circle of life.
Life can be defined in many ways, but scientifically, life at its essence is a mechanism that transforms energy into order, the new logo symbolizes the harmonious relationship DEWA cultivates between the Environment-the Earth (green circle), Water (blue circle) and Power (red circle).

Stand communication concept

In accordance with corporate identification rules and logotype concept, space design and communication сue were developed. The main idea is based on the image of sustainable life-cycle of energy consumption and contemporary approach to development and manufacturing. The corporate symbolic color scheme was gently supported with the natural greenery.
Interactive panels on all surfaces represent the booth as a new living organism and emphasize the process of communication between human and nature. New and already developing energetic projects are presented on special podiums around the floor area as well as on interactive info-displays.
