Jakarta City Philharmonic Logo Options

Jakarta City Philharmonic (JCP) is a joint project of Indonesia Creative Economy Agency (BEKRAF) with the Jakarta Arts Council (DKJ). In November 2016 the orchestra held its première and received a warm welcome from amongst the classical orchestra lovers in Jakarta. JCP was formed to complement Jakarta as a metropolitan city. Just like any major city in the world, the presence of a professional orchestra – on a regular schedule throughout the year – is a cultural necessity of a modern metropolis.
I designed these logos while I was a graphic design intern at Jakarta Arts Council (DKJ). It was a pretty surprising order to bear, since logo is the most fundamental part of  brand identity, and within two days, I had to come up with several logo options.
They wanted a logo with many lines and vibe of metropolitan city. Well, we still also have to remember that the most important rule of logo making is simplicity and readability. Uhm, so those four are my final results.

At the end, they didn't use any of my design and decided to make it by themselves. I don't know what's wrong with mine, since they didn't discuss it with me (sounds like a cliche intern problems, doesn't it?).
However, it really doesn't matter. What's more important is, I succeeded in showing myself that I can push my boundaries and bring out my best; even in an unfamiliar situation and limited time. I am proud of me for accepting this challenge / opportunity :)
