Design Brief : To create a digital solution for a bike rental service in Mumbai to locate, reserve, pick up, return and keep track of the bikes that will allow people to easily navigate the city.
Proposed Concept : In the context of Mumbai, the main places we targeted were railway stations and local shop vendors. Keeping this in mind we introduced the concept of electric bikes. Electric bikes are bicycles with an integrated electric motor which can be used for propulsion. These e-bikes, equipped with all types of sensors like GPS, accelorometer etc should be an integral part of the system. Providing rental access to common people for these e-bikes was our main concept. People can pick up bikes from any convenient location and drop the bikes to any other location.
