Brand IDENTITY BOARD

1/ Logo

A simple and distinct logo is what I aim for this fashion brand. I used my own handwriting for my initials and a hand-drawn flower with a little bit of flair to produce a logo that showcases my personality and versatility as a designer and an artist. The hand-drawn style also makes it feel creative and free-spirited. A circular shape around the logo is used to reflect a sense of wholesomeness in the brand.

2/ Colour Palette + Logo Variations

For the colour palette, I selected a variety of masculine and feminine colours to give a balance energy to the brand. Psychology suggests that deep blue personify strength and unity. Feminine colours such as yellow and rose are very expansive and fluid.

The logo variations are all based on my personal handwriting to keep it simple, clean and iconic.

3/ Fonts + Patterns

This set of typefaces best represent the simple yet sophisticated feel of the brand. Whilst also evoking both feminine energy through curves and swirls of the cursive font - Shorelines Script and masculine energy through straight lines and angles of the sans-serif font - Gill Sans.

The patterns were produced by combining two design elements: camouflage and florals. The hand-drawn motifs of sweet peas and cosmos are placed over the camouflage background which gives an interesting interplay.

4/ Elements + Inspiration

The inspiration stems from combining two opposing elements, florals and military camouflage, which best represent the sense of femininity and masculinity. Nature also plays a significant role. The floral elements were done through hand-drawn to emphasise the hand-made, personal and humanistic values of the brand. The colours used for the camouflage print are bold and fearlessly feminine and masculine - all representative of the ways woman should feel when using the products of this brand.
