Black Cross set in the Red Heart — the Cross of Christ is black to symbolize that the cross is a method of excruciating pain and death and it is the pain and death that Christ endured for us. It is set in a red heart because while the cross brings pain and death, the Cross of Christ brings life to the believer, therefore the heart is a living heart and retains its natural color.
Blue Circle — The sky blue circle symbolizes the beginning heavenly joy we now have.
Golden Ring — The golden ring symbolizes the heavenly joy that we have through the Grace of Christ and that it lasts for all eternity, it is the most valuable gift we can receive.
Background Cross — The blue circle and golden ring are also cut in fourths with a background cross to symbolize the four corners of the world and that the Gospel is for all Nations.
White Rose — The white rose is a white transparent overlay covering the blue and gold circles. The white rose symbolizes the joy, comfort, and peace that are found in Christ.
Four Ichthyses & Trumpets — The petals of the white rose are separated by four ichthyses to symbolize the Apostles and all believers going to all four corners of the world and the ichthyses are turned with their tails pointed outward to symbolize the trumpeting of the Gospel to all the world.
Color Change — Lastly, the four quadrants in the logo move from darker colors in the lower left hand corner to lighter colors in the upper right corner to show the positive movement of one going from darkness to light as they cling to the Gospel of Christ. The color change is also made to resemble a stained glass window similar to the windows found in Faith Lutheran’s sanctuary.
