Akiya es una palabra lakota que significaĀ "acercarse a", el trabajo consisteĀ en un acercamiento a la grĆ”fica nativa americana, concretamente a la grĆ”fica lakota procedente de los wintercounts y del ledger art y en menor medida de los tejidos navajo. los dibujos estan realizados con tinta china sobre polipiel.

Akiya is a Lakota word that means "approach to", the work consists of an approach to Native American graphic style, specifically the Lakota graphic from wintercounts and ledger art and to a lesser extent from Navajo fabrics. The drawings are made with India ink on leatherette.
