Exploring services inEducation :
As our first experiment, I'vehave decided to look at the vast domain of education. The task of sorting outall the possible avenues that one could look was immense. I did a couple ofbrainstorming sessions on paper and then refined it into a mind map as astarting point of our exploration.
I had a chance to speakwith a wide range of people from students to teachers, to professors andresearch students; each giving us a glimpse of the big picture.

Some of the points that came up during the discussionsare below.

Problems:

Efforts are disconnected and localized - noholistic or collaborative approaches.
No real synchronization between organizations.
Corruption in the system when it comes tosetting syllabus and in connection with text book publishers
Not enough information available easily
Infrastructure problems
More involvement from the private sectorchampioning the need for educating everyone, from primary to higher totechnical education
Not enough information for students to makeinformed decisions

Solutions:
Online education
Experimental curriculum
Workshops.
More collaboration between educationalorganisations

Re-Focus :
Education was a big topicto handle. The ideas we thought up were similarly immense and slightly out ofreach in the time frame given to us. After further evaluation and a lot ofbrainstorming, I've picked up the topic of Sanskar Camp.
Logo:
Service is metaphoricallyrelated to the wind, which carries pollens and helps in pollination. Similarlythe service intends to spread and nurture the Indian Culture.
(Wind – wind pollinatedflowers. The pollen grains are produced in large amounts it’s smooth and lighthence it can be carried away by the gentlest of wind currents.)

Thisstage initially involves listing the attributes of theme & identifying adesign challenge.
Theterms will then decide for whom they are solving for, will spend time talkingto potential target users. & discover insights.

Define:
Theteams will then look for opportunities for new services & will define newservice opportunity.

Develop:
Thisstage is a about developing the idea and making it real. Prototypes are made& experiences are acted to test the concept.

Deliver:
Team during this stagewill deliver evidence, what services they have made.

We live on a world that isgrowing smaller by the minute. Time is of essence to people of all ages, be itan adult working in an MNC or a school going child, unlike what it was severalyears back. As we have progressed in life by acquiring newer knowledge andconstantly updating ourselves to the various developments around us, we haveforgotten our past. We, in our fast paced life have missed out the very essenceof our culture. Today’s children are neither aware nor interested in knowingwhat we so proudly boast as our prestigious culture. And it is high time thatwe did something about it.

To do this we need tounderstand what is our culture rooted in and that is our forgotten language ofSanskrit. Sanskrit if one of the oldest languages of the world and with thepassage of time it has facing extinction due to the lack of interest thatpeople are taking to learn it. All our Vedas and puranas are written inSanskrit and if we educate the younger generation in this language we would beopening them the access to all the prestigious vedic literature that even thewestern world has acknowledged as being priceless.

In order to educate theyoung in the language an innovative approach is required that is both fun andeducative at the same time.

Currently people are notaware about the richness and variety present in the Indian culture because oftheir lack of exposure to the same.

The camp will become aplatform through which the younger generation not only gets exposed to theexisting variety in our culture but also actively will interact with ambienceof the camp which will convert their experience into knowledge.

The culture of India isrooted in Sanskrit. Sanskrit, earliest of the ancient languages. There issufficient evidence available today to say that Sanskrit is the oldest languageof the world.
