HERTZ ELITE - UI CASE STUDY

THE 1ST PROJECT

Hertz Elite is an exotic car rental web application that I developed to showcase a different perspective on how Hertz Dream Collection could be displayed for its high-end luxury sports/exotic car enthusiast.

Duration: 2.5 weeks

Tools: Fireworks (took it back didnt I...lol), Illustrator, Photoshop




CONTEXT


Hertz Elite is a redesign of Hertz Dream Collection, that offers high-end vehicles for rental. I developed this application, because Hertz Dream Collection doesn't currently have one, but more so because many car enthusiast desire to know the indepth specs of a vehicle. However, what they end up getting from most rental vehicle companies are basics specs, leaving the deeper interest regarding perfomace buried.  



MOODBOARD


I developed this moodboard to speak directly to the emotions of a person with a love for exotic/sports automobiles. 

Given that the user is experienced in high-end vehicles and wants an experience fitting of an high-end vehicle enthusiast, I decided to encorporate monochromatic colors along with the existing branded yellow, sharp edges and a focus on the vehicles themselves to make Hertz Elite more attractive and inviting to its user.

SCREENS

Hertz Elite Home Screen

Users can easily proceed to making a reservation, browse the collection, or check the status on an existing reservation.

I used the color scheme with intention to create a clean sophisticated view.

When browsing the "Collection" there is a setup process to guide the user to their desired brand, and vehicle type (i.e. SUV, Convertible, etc...)

This shows the user a simple step by step process, which makes for easy navigation.
Collection Vehicle Selection Spec Review

The vehicle selection/spec review screens allow users to take a look under the hood of the vehicle per se.

This provide the user with all of the in-depth details to help them make a decision (cross the finish line).
Reservation & Fee Expansion

These in-depth reservation screens provide users with absolute transparency regarding price, taxes and fees, and are easy to understand at a glance.

Selecting the down arrows next to each field provides user with a preloaded experience, eliminating any guess-work.
RESPONSIVE



Home Screen

The information presented on these screens greatly differ at each break point. The mobile version displays the users selection options/CTA's (Collection, Existing Reservation, Reservation).

The tablet version displays the reservation call-to-action upon the vehicle billboard, the brand availablability list is presented in a slider. Below the slider displays vehicle news/blog articles, and next to the articles are the advertisments.

Finally the desktop version displays the hero and call-to-action, with the brands available displayed as a right side menu, followed by advertisments at the base of the screen.
